What does this mean about upcoming labor?
I got an ultrasound yesterday and they said they weren't able to see the top of my baby's head anymore because it's too far down into my pelvis. Lately it's been harder and harder to walk because it feels like the baby is crushing my pelvic bone. They don't check for dilation or effacement at this doctor's office (I know, I know...real stupid, but that's just how it is). I'm just wondering what exactly that means if his head is so low right now? Does it mean I'll be going into labor soon....I hope so cause this pressure is driving me nuts! And not to mention, I have to pee all the time.

First babies always drop down into the pelvis sooner than subsequent babies. It often occurs several weeks before labor starts.
You have a great doctor if they aren't checking you! It's not stupid at all! They follow current evidence based practice, which shows that there is no medical benefit in knowing how dilated your cervix is before labor begins, and it only adds risk for infection. Doctors that check before labor begins are only doing that to satisfy their patient's curiosity - which should never be a valid reason for performing an invasive examination.
I'm sorry you're uncomfortable. Unfortunately, peeing all the time and having all that pressure and twinges of pain and cramps is just all part of being in your last weeks of pregnancy. Get lots of rest, you're almost there! Congrats!
