Can anyone name the biggest difference between a Squier by Fender Jazz Bass and Fender Jazz Bass?
Is there really much difference besides price?
Quality control. In other words, if we put the quality of the instrument as a number from 1 to 10, can you expect from Fender between 7 and 9 but Squier can be expected to be between 4 and 9. This means that you can still find a Squier, which is also good as a Fender, or even better, but you must be sure to play in person and check everything. The only differences I can think is certain is that the Squier probably pick-up of lower quality and, most likely a basswood body. The lime is not a problem, I use basswood guitars reality. It's a little thicker than the usual survey alder, a little hotter than ash. The pick-up ... is some quality control, But man, can be important or not true. Try it.
