I string my Fender Stratocaster, for the first time, but I have a bit of a problem. The tailpiece of my guitar for a tremolo bar appears to be too far due to the new string tension. I fear that the ridge can not be raised more so my tremolo bar would be futile. How I solve this problem, was there, I skipped a step in stringing the guitar?

Is it set correctly? If so ... probably put in chains heavy caliber that were in it. Be required to remove the rear cover and tighten the trem springs to get to the bottom when the guitar is properly tuned. You'll have to tune the strings loosen and tighten the springs as or received too tight and can break. A vintage style Stratocaster bridge (tenuously held together by 6 screws) should not "float" at all. Should be adjust the springs so that the guitar is in tune and the bridge is level at the same time.
