Grover Style
Grover Style
Jazz recommendations?
I'm looking to get into Jazz (smooth saxophone style) similar to Grover Washington and the instrumental of Common - Take It Ez.

I checked out Sun Ra - Atlantis and wasn't really feeling that album. It probably takes a bit longer to get into it.
Any recommendations?
@ Nyl - lol true! I'm in UK and only come on during work hours, so I don't normally get a lot of responses.
Boney James - Start with "trust" and work your way through his discography. He does a good job incorportating R&B talents like Dwele into his sound
Fourplay-start with their self-titled "Fourplay". Best song on there is "Bali Run". That's great driving music.
Kirk Whalum-"For You" is one of my favorite albums
George Benson- Not sure where to start! "Standing Together" is on high play lately for me
Bob James & Earl Klugh have a good one called "Two of a Kind", I've been playing this alot lately too.
David Sanborn-of course, can't go without mentioning him. But I recently acquired "Timeagain"
Everette Harp & J. Spencer are both good, but I haven't honestly added them to my iPod yet (shhh)
I think you'd also enjoy Gato Barbieri. I listened to "The Shadow of the Cat" last night with my lady....ohhh woooo! She liked it, alot!
Najee, Ronny Jordon (my avatar), Soulive, Incognito, Terrence Blanchard, Wes Montgomery, and Hugh Masekela are also personal faves.
