Do you want a "rock" sound or a Blues "sound"? Guitar Style Fender sound "more rock" (thinner pitches, thinner bodies, faster action, single-wound pick-ups) and style Gibson guitars sound "bluesier" (fingerboards wider, thicker bodies, hum-bucking pick-ups) ... If you are not sure and you're not a guitar player long term, it would be better to pay £ 20 a pop for one of every style of guitar at a yard sale and play them both until you find your "style" before you fork over two hundred pounds for something you may not like me
